A letter of authorization is a document issued by the Visas and Immigration Service, confirming that your application for a work or study permit has been approved. It notifies you that you may leave for Canada in order to work upon its reception. You must present your letter of authorization to an Immigration agent at a point of entry to Canada (airport, land crossing). The work permit will be issued to you by the Immigration agent upon presentation of your letter of authorization.
