WHAT IS A LEMON SUGAR GLAZE & WHY DO I WANT THAT?
The lemon sugar glaze is a mixture of fresh squeezed lemon juice, organic cane sugar & essential oils. I use fresh henna powder that leaves color in as little as 15 minutes on most parts of the body, so the glaze is optional. I also make my henna paste with a bit of pomegranate juice to help it stick to your skin. However, if you want to get dark color for your finished design, then you want the paste to stay on your skin as long as possible in the warmest conditions possible as Henna Paste is a heat activated vegetable dye. The Lemon Sugar glaze helps seal the henna to the skin. The citric acid & essential oils in the glaze seem to help get darker color in the finished tattoo. Most people choose to have the glaze applied so their henna tattoo doesn’t flake off too quickly.
