Hello, I’m Robert Todd, and I’m here to discuss what are legal assistants, and what do they do? Well, this is going to vary from state to state and location to location, and even law firm to law firm within locations. But generally, our experience with legal assistants have been there is no standardized requirement for education for a legal assistant. Likewise, there’s no standardized requirement of experience. The legal assistants program in the United States today is basically part education, part experience. The legal industry itself is much like an apprentice industry in that individuals working in the legal industry learn on the job how to do the job.
