What is a kiss cut?
A kiss cut is a conforming die that “kisses” the surface of the vinyl and doesn’t cut through the backing paper. The kiss cut allows the individual location to be peeled, leaving the rest of the sticker untouched. Remember when creating a kiss cut, to indicate it on a separate layer and to leave 1/8″ on either side of the kiss cut to allow for a safety area. There should also be 1/4″ between cuts, so if your kiss cut runs parallel with the die cut, each of them need 1/8″ for a total of 1/4″ between cuts.
