What is a keylogger and how does the Shag Drive protect me from them?
Untitled document Keylogger is short for keystroke logging tool. Keystroke loggers collect typed information as you punch it into your computer and usually send that captured info to another location where someone can manipulate that data as they see fit. Often times they are installed by a significant other to catch someone cheating, or by a website to capture everything you type (like bank account logins, passwords to email and other sites). Software based keystroke loggers are usually installed on your computer’s hard drive and are often COMPLETELY undetectable. Even antivirus software usually does NOT detect it. The Shag Drive doesn’t use your hard drive like all other software you use does. Because of this, that keystroke logger is rendered worthless. In fact, our read-only system files make it so keystroke logging software CAN’T be installed on the Shag Drive. Now, do you want to bank with a Shag Drive, or the drive that may have a keylogger on it?
