What Is A Juvenile Probation Officer?
A juvenile is someone under the age of 18. When a juvenile comes to court and is not sentenced to prison he is often given someone (an officer) who will guide them and help try to prevent them being imprisoned in future. Imprisonment can be avoided if the the youth obeys the rules during probation (the period they are under the control of the officer).
