What is a Jewish Life Liaison?
The prestigious NYU Jewish Life Liaison Program is a paid, one-year fellowship that enables first year NYU students living in the residence halls to encourage their peers to explore and celebrate their Jewishness. Extensive Jewish education is not necessary – just the desire to make a difference in the lives of students. Jewish Life Liaisons see themselves as student leaders. They come from a variety of backgrounds and pursue degrees in many disciplines. The Jewish Life Liaison program enables students to grow both professionally and Jewishly. Liaisons are outgoing and engaging. They enjoy meeting students from diverse backgrounds, networking with community leaders and helping their fellow undergraduates.
