What is a IEEE-394/Firewire connection?
This is a cable similar to USB/USB2 offering extremely fast connection to a PC/Mac. It is the most common connection used for uploading footage from a camcorder to a computer and it is all done digitally so no loss of quality. The speeds are vastly superior to USB and around the same as USB2. IEEE-394 and Firewire are the two names the same product usually goes by.
