What is a hybrid alarm control?

0

A hybrid alarm control is an alarm control which is capable of using multiple technologies for data input and data output. Back in the old days (here we go again) alarm controls had wires running to each door contact or motion detector etc (hardwire system). Newer controls were able to do this and also accept inputs from wireless sensors. Even newer controls could also use multiplexing technologies (please call me about this) to receive input from multiplex type sensors. Presto! Hybrid alarm controls. These days, most higher end controls (the only type we install) have these features as standard. But, there are a few controls that stand above the rest.
