House Proctors (HP) assist first-year residents in creating an atmosphere of personal responsibility and academic growth with a focus on the three tenets of the first year experience: conflict resolution, self-assessment, and academic persistence. HPs are members of the GW Housing Programs (GWHP) team and assist with GWHP administrative and operational efforts. HPs come from diverse backgrounds and have varied interests and experiences. Specific focus areas include: academic growth, personal responsibility, and self-exploration; the House Charter; House themes; in hall speaker and lecture opportunities; and course materials.
