What is a homestudy and post placement visit?
The homestudy and post placement visits are state and federally mandated processes which provide an opportunity for dialogue between prospective adoptive families and a social worker who is knowledgeable about adoption. The interviews and home visits are synthesized into narrative reports used by courts, agencies, attorneys, federal offices and foreign consulates throughout the adoption process.
