A home occupation can occur in any home subject to regulations of the zoning by-law. A home occupation cannot occupy more 25% of the floor area of a dwelling unit, cannot have a sign, and cannot involve any retail sales directly from the premises. Any home occupation cannot use equipment of any type that would not normally be found in a home and cannot emit noise, odor, fumes, dust, electrical interference, etc. Specifically prohibited as home occupations are direct retail sales, pet care and/or grooming, small engine or automotive repair or maintenance.
