WHAT IS A “HOME INSPECTION”?
A home inspection is a non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, often in connection with the sale of that home. This is carried out by a home inspector, who usually has special equipment and training to carry out such inspections. A home inspection report is then issued by the home inspector.
A home inspection is a visual search of a property, it’s components and systems. A search for clues that problems may exist or components are not functioning. Major systems are examined using standard controlls by a trained professional inspector in accordance with industry standards. Plumbing, electrical, grading, roofing, siding, windows and doors, HVAC systems, the foundation and much more are assessed and a written explanation of the current condition of the property is provided at the conclusion of the home inspection.
