The Holder Identification Number (HIN) identifies your registration on the CHESS Subregister. This form of registration, also known as Broker Sponsored, allows brokers to manage their sponsored client’s shareholdings. A HIN is made up of the letter X followed by ten numbers, ie X0001234567.
