What is a “hidden” profile/ad?
Most profiles/ads are fully visible and can be found by anyone doing a search. However, providers have two options to make their profiles less visible. The first option requests that the profile be visible only if you know the provider’s member name, URL or web address of their profile. This option is useful to providers who like to include a link to their profile in their e-mails or elsewhere but do not want the general public to find them by an anonymous search. The second option requests that the profile be completely hidden so that it cannot be viewed by anyone except the provider him/herself. Some providers may choose to hide their profiles while they are on vacation or otherwise unavailable.
