Not for a shih-tzu. The standard weight for a shih-tzu is 9-16 pounds, and keep in mind that dogs sometimes do run over the standard for size. If you are concerned about the size your dog will be as an adult look for a REPUTABLE breeder of purebred dogs, of a breed whose standard adult size does not exceed 10 pounds. Also, may I ask why you want a cross?? And if you’re set on a mix, why not adopt an adult dog from a shelter or rescue? Then you will not have to “guess” as to what it might end up weighing.
