What is a Health Information System?
A health information system is composed of a set of inter-related health care professionals, devices, processes and procedures intended to facilitate the collection, communication and storage of health data; the processing of that data to produce health information; and the presentation of that information to those health care professionals responsible for making decisions based on that health information.
