A gun lock, sometimes a trigger lock, is something that I would advise never be used. They can’t be used, they shouldn’t be used, let’s put it that way, when the gun is loaded. Because when attaching it, boom! You may fire the gun or when removing it you may do the same. So you’re told to keep the gun unloaded. So now, if you’re using a gun lock the way it was designed, you’ve got one more step not only trying to get that lock undone and that combination remembered, but you’ve also then got to load the gun before you can use it. Not exactly a good idea for an emergency. So, if you want to keep a gun from being stolen, because a gun lock isn’t going to matter at all for keeping somebody from stealing it, put it in a safe. So a gun lock is just not a good in between at all.
