What is a GreenPoint Achiever?
The term has been defined as a high school senior who intends to go to an accredited college or university. How are winners chosen? Award recipients are selected based upon academic achievements, career potential, lack of financial resources and overall respect of those in their community and schools. Participation in various arenas including: work, school, and the community, are taken into consideration when making the final selections. The GPA program is supervised by Scholarship America, a national organization, which provides professional oversight of scholarship programs. Former recipients have expressed their gratitude for the very invaluable assistance, tremendous opportunity and supportive guidance provided by GreenPoint’s generosity. Plus, many past scholarship recipients later went on to work with GreenPoint after graduation from college.
