What is a grantee or section 330 grantee?
The terms ‘Grantee’ and ‘Section 330 Grantee’, as used within the UDS Mapper site, refer to a public or private non-profit health care organization that meets certain criteria under the Medicare and Medicaid Programs (respectively, Sections 1861(aa)(4) and 1905(l)(2)(B) of the Social Security Act), receives funds under the Bureau of Primary Health Care Health Center Program (Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act), and reports data to the Uniform Data System (UDS) that subsequently are sent to John Snow, Inc. for analysis (i.e., Community Health Centers, Migrant Health Centers, Healthcare for the Homeless Programs, and Public Housing Primary Care Programs). For additional information on Section 330 grantees, see HRSA’s web page on Health Centers.
