What is a good website to find rescue puppies?
Rescue puppies, or puppies being advertised by ‘breeders’ looking for homes? There is a difference. You might be lucky to find a litter of puppies at your local Shelter, but these get snapped up fast. Otherwise, don’t buy from a website. Breeders who use websites to sell their puppies are more often than not BYBs. Good breeders normally have a waiting list for their puppies so if you want a specific breed, contact the breed club, and ask for the names of reputable breeders. If you don’t necessarily mind if it’s not purebred, go to your local Shelter – even if you can’t find a puppy, there’s bound to be a young-ish dog looking for a forever home. And actually much as in some ways having a puppy, with a ‘clean slate’ is nice. dogs that are through the puppy stages, can have advantages!! Especially if you are intending to be working full-time………… ?
