You’ll need to hook the APC up to the computer using the USB connection cable that came with the unit. If your unit doesn’t have the USB option, this won’t work for you. If you no longer have the cable, you’ll have to order a replacement Step 1: Connect the UPS’s RJ45 to USB communications cable between the UPS and the computer. Ensure the USB cable is inserted directly into one of the host computer’s native USB ports. Do not use a hub or after market USB cards to establish communications.
