What is a good tree nice in summer red in Autumn?
The leaves of Cherry trees turn a lovely golden then red colour in autumn. The leaves are quite large as well, so plenty of sweeping up. You would also be feeding the birds with the cherries you could not reach to pick. Another, not really a tree but the colouring is wonderful, is Berberris. It can be used as ground cover, a bush, or trained to grow up a fence or anything really, just needs something to lean on. The Burberris has rich green leaves in summer with red berries and really dark red leaves in autumn and loses them eventually during winter.
