Studying Looking for Alibrandi in Year 9! I wish I went to your school! Individuals change through time as a reflection of the gradual realisation of what’s really important in life. Change can be demonstrated through both individual growth and the realisation of what’s truly important in life. People change for two reasons – they acknowledge their individual need for change to better a situation or themselves, or they are forced to change as a result of society and the restrictions imposed by social circles, family and cultural traditions. Hopefully one of these will help, or at least give you an idea that will help. Good luck and enjoy studying it! It really is a fantastic book – closest my school got to studying it was watching the movie version in Year 12, pity really! I could have written tonnes on its relationship to belonging!
