According to Google, 200 Australian dollars = 139.24 U.S. dollars. The cheapest telescopes that i recommend start at a little over 200 USD. 200 U.S. dollars = 287.273772 Australian dollars I don’t happen to know if Orion ships to Australia, and if so, what it costs. For the complete amateur, i recommend a computer aid. This pushes up the minimum price. The xt6i is an awesome scope. I have the xt10i. Easy to use, quick to set up, fits in the car, only $670 (964 AUD). How’s your light pollution? Parts of Australia have minimal light pollution. That will help immensely. My 10 inch (254 mm) at my house isn’t as good on galaxies as my 60 mm is at a good dark sky site.
