What is a good spacing between having kids?

0

If you decided you wanted to have a child, now is a fine time. Your kids will be 2 years apart. It really depends on how you feel, and how many children you want. I know families that have kids that are 4 years apart each, and I know one family that has 4 girls that are all a year apart. It seems perfectly normal though. Most people I know have kids that are 2 or 3 years apart, however do whatever makes you feel comfortable. There are families that have 10 years olds that are already aunts and uncles. I know several families, and it seems perfectly normal to me.

I have 2 kids 5 years apart. While I do not regret it, I feel that no more than 3 years is a better spacing. 5 years apart, the age difference is just enough that it can be difficult to find things that are age appropriate for both at the same time. I often have to do something below the older child or above the younger. 3 years apart and there is a much better chance that the kids will both be able to enjoy the same activity – for some of the time at least.
