Legumes (beans, peas, peanuts, lentils, chickpeas,) nuts, seeds and vegetables (especially dark green ones) are all good sources of protein. You can avoid wheat and still eat many other whole grains (try quinoa if you haven’t already.) Instead of looking for prepared foods on health food store shelves, save yourself the money and the aggravation of reading ingredient labels and eat mostly whole foods. You never have to read the label and wonder what’s in a head of brocolli.
