What is a good song for a slow modern/lyrical dance solo?
OH OH OH! I danced to Gravity for my senior solo, graduating from high school and I’m a huge fan of Regina Spektor. I really enjoy choreographing and i understand the struggle to find music that has the qualities that you are looking for. Pandora has been hugely helpful for me in the process. If you haven’t heard about it, Pandora is a website that connects you to music that has similar musical qualities. You give a song (Gravity) or artist (regina Spektor) or even a genre (soft pop) and Pandora will create a music station for you playing songs similar to the information you entered. Don’t be intimidated at first, yes, you need to sign up for Pandora, but it’s free (unless you want to use it more that like 40 hours a month, then you have to pay) just enter some simple info and you’re all set to listen! I get super excited when i tell people about Pandora, they have some great music! But otherwise, from my own experience, you should check out Priscilla Ahn, Kendall Payne, Missy Higgins,
