What is a good, objective online source for information on vitamins and supplements?
(And by the way, kudos to you for looking for good sources of information.) The Wellness Letter is published by the University of California at Berkeley, through their world-famous school of public health. It is the finest, clearest, most up-to-date, most objective source of health information I know of. It comes out monthly. About half of it is about nutrition and exercise, and every issue has a healthy recipe. It is only 16 pages (I believe) but it has no ads whatsoever, and very few graphics. So simply on a word count, it compares favorably with Prevention and other rags. More importantly, it accepts no ad money from any pharmaceutical or supplement company (or any other source), so it doesn’t have to worry about losing income by deflating their ridiculous claims. The articles cover all the latest health crazes and fads, and review the evidence for and against all the claims. They actually say when a particular study is weak or small, something that even legitimate news sources rare
