What is a good name for a Witch in his or her third year of study?
Emily, A first year or first degree Witch is usually referred to as an initiate, a second year Witch or second degree Witch is referred to as a Neophyte, a third year or third degree Witch is called a priest/priestess. The titles for time in stop with that. All the other titles are honorary titles, High Priest/Priestess refers to the person leading the ceremonies and even an initiate can hold that title while he or she is leading the ceremony. Now the Title of Elder is not one that can be earned directly. It is conferred on a person by all the other Witches around him or her. It is usually reserved for one who has undergone a lot of experience, displays a lot of Wisdom and skill within the Craft, has done extensive teaching or writing in and for the Craft. In other words it is an honor that is bestowed upon a TRUE leader in the coven or the over all world of Wicca.
