What is a good midi editor?
MIDI editors (more usually called sequencers) are usually not simple. Some of the programs below come with sets of instrument samples and some don’t, check to see what you get with each bundle. Commercial programs are available from Steinberg (Cubase, Sequel) http://www.steinberg.net/index.php?id=61… Cakewalk (Sonar Win only) http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/default… PG Music (RealBand, Win only) http://www.pgmusic.com/realband.htm Digidesign (ProTools LE, ProTools M-Powered or Protools HD) http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?navi… Mackie (Traktion) http://www.mackie.com/products/tracktion… Ableton Live!
Although the answer before mine is extreamly well thought out good, it doesn’t really address the fact that you want it ‘simple’. The fact is, no matter what program you use there will be a hefty learning curve. That’s where I can help. The program I use most often is Voyetra Record Producer MIDI. It costs 19.95 USD Pretty cheap and it does the job. http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/reco… If you like I will help you edit your files for you, and if you purchase Voyetra Record Producer MIDI I can also can teach you how to use it. I can also point you to many MIDI related yahoo groups were people help each other out all the time. For starters, one is called MIDI another is called MIDIChat. I am a member of both groups. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/MIDI/ http://tech.groups.yahoo.c
