This may be too difficult. If you had a hamster: Attach an electric motor to the exercise wheel so that it turns with the wheel. If you put a voltmeter on the contacts you could measure the rate of exercise. If you had some way to record this as activity, you could measure exercise time over 24hrs. Vary diet, light, temperature. That would make an interesting project, but probably too advanced at this time. Look into it for a high school project, there is something called a data logger that can record that and show you a graph of the data as a function of time. DATAQ makes a voltage monitor for under $100, also temperature and current. Other companies probably sell them too. I have used the temperature monitor to see how the temperature setting affects the maximum and minimum temperature in a refrigerator (keep people out). The data is saved and a graph is shown on screen. An example – I set it for recording voltage or temperature every 10 seconds for 3 and a half days max. Best to you
