You seem to have some reptile experience so how about something like an Ackie Monitor, Tegu, or a Chameleon? They aren’t for beginners, and are more for the intermediate keeper. I would never recommend these to beginners. Ackie Monitors will do okay with a 55-75 gallon tank. As adults the smallest they can be housed in is a 6FT x 4FT x 4 FT, while some Tegus may need to be in an 8ftx4ftx4ft.
