What is a good keyboard for a beginner?
If I am looking at the correct keyboards, I would probably pick the Yamaha. Simply for the fact that it is a 61 key compared to the Casio’s 49 keys. The other features between the two are fairly similar. One thing that may be worth looking for is a midi port on the back side of the unit. You may find it useful in the future to interface the keyboard to your pc via midi interface. This would offer you many enhancements from sequencing software, virtual synths, and training programs. Keyboards with midi should be in your price range. Good luck.
