What is a good insurance company that covers maternity?

Most individual insurance plans don’t cover maternity. Some plans will let you add a maternity rider to the policy, but they are VERY expensive. They also generally require you to have the maternity coverage for 9 months before you conceive. I looked into this extensively about a year ago, and never found insurance for maternity that wasn’t outrageously priced. If I were you I would stay with your group insurance through your company. $200 a month is not expensive for insurance. If you can’t get maternity coverage there is a way to prepay the doctor and hospital prior to delivery. It is much less expensive that way. Good luck.
