What is a good, inexpensive cigar?

The RP Edge is an excellent cigar but not a good one to hand out to celebrate the birth of your child – congrats, by the way! It does not have a band, and as such, has a poor “presentation”. It is also a pretty full bodied stick and will put most novices under the table. To be honest, most people will not smoke the cigar, but will accept it to celebrate the birth. As such, it needs to look good but still be a decent smoke. A cigar in a glass tube will prolly be your best bet and in my opinion, the Macanudo Crystal is a good one – it will run you just under $5 a stick and is well made. I would stay away from the Fuente Curly Heads – they are unbanded, short filler smokes. The Curly Head Deluxe has a band, but its still a short filler smoke. JMHO and YMMV…..
