Then again, that’s what makes a good non-heavy metal guitar, too. Basically, you just want to avoid anything hollow. 99% of great tone is in the fingertips. In other words, if a great heavy metal guitarist picks up a crappy guitar, it’ll still sound like a great heavy metal guitar because of the person whose hands it’s in.
