What is a good guidebook for Thailand?

In my opinion two very good guides to Thailand are the Lonely Planet Guide and the Insight Guide. It depends on your personal taste (and age) which one you prefer. “Backpackers” and younger travelers often prefer the Lonely Planet Guide, while a bit older people or “hotel travelers” often prefer the Insight guide. I have used them both. Further popular guides include The Rough Guide to Thailand, the Eyewitness guide for Thailand (which is becoming one of my favorites) and the Footprint Thailand Handbook. More advice on (guide)books on Thailand can be found on the books pages of this site. You can buy these books right from this site, if you wish. Go here if you would like to buy from Amazon.com (USA) Go here if you would like to buy from Amazon.co.uk (For European visitors) Both pages contain all the popular guidebooks.
