WHAT IS A GOOD FUNGICIDE PROGRAM FOR GRAPES?
With regard to a recommendation, let me first say that you should contact your local (County) or regional (State) ag agency & ask about their “small fruit & grape spray guidelines”. It is very important to get the advice of your local & regional folks because fungus pressure varies a great deal from location to location. That being said, however, here is what I do here in NE Ohio: -For black rot, phomopsis cane & leaf spot & downey mildew: 2 Tbsp. of Mancozeb WP (wettable powder) per gallon of water. FYI – Mancozeb is sold under the trade names Dithane M-45, Manzate 200 & Penncozeb. [I use Penncozeb] (In mid-August many folks switch from Mancozeb to Captan [used at the same rate] in order to prevent fungus adaptation to a single fungicide) -For Powdery mildew: 1.5 ml of Rubigan EC (emulsified concentrate) per gallon of water. The Mancozeb & the Rubigan can be mixed together in the sprayer. 1 gallon (3.785L) of spray will cover about 7 mature, full-canopied vines. Be sure to follow the
