What is a good first car to get?
For a compact car, you can choose Honda Civic, best overall for style, reliability, sportiness, ride and price. Expecially the Civic Coupe, terrific for young people. If you want to stay away from the mainstream just a little bit, try the Scion tC, pretty good choice I have to say for a compact coupe. If you want to go bigger, a stylish choice will be the Honda Accord Coupe, or the new Nissan Altima Coupe. Some say Toyota Camry Solara is great, but I have my bias on its look – kind of fat-looking to me. For used cars you can go with the models above too, except the Altima coupe which is a brand new thing. With used cars you should be extra careful, pay a trusted local mechanic to lift the car up and inspect it for you before you commit the purchase, in addtion to all other cautions.
