What is a good example of an anecdote used in American literature?
I’ve been trying to find a short story that makes use of anecdotes and can also be read online, but that seem to be impossible. The poem “Death in the Arctic” by Robert Service certainly makes use of anecdote (though you might argue that they are flashbacks). So if you don’t mind analyzing poetry, you could try that one.
