Hi, i pick the Dodge Neon. Kinda sporty looking, good on gas and with proper maintainance it will run well for years. The base model (se) is the cheapest. The SXT is only upgraded in appearance packages, same motor as the SE. Only a few things to worry about with a Neon long term….change the timing belt every 70K miles or so, run synthetic oil, and get one with a manual transmission if you can….it will be cheaper to buy and maintain…..a new clutch is $450 to get replaced, and a rebuilt auto transmission is $1450 or more. They are tough little cars overall….i still see lots of the first generation models (1995-96) driving around. Mine is a 2005 model….i bought it new and now have 68,000 trouble free miles on it…..i just change the synthetic oil every 5,000 miles, and keep up with routine maintainence. The owner manual suggests replacing the timing belt at 105K miles…..i’ll do it much sooner. If that component blows, a $15 belt, the valves on that particular motor bang into
