You dont want to read Gray’s anatomy. Take it from someone who actually is studying medicine in the UK. It is too difficult at you stage. There is a Gray’s anatomy for students (by Vogl, Drake and Mitchell) which is good, I actually am currently reading it. You should read from the beginning though, there will be terms that are confusing unless you read the explanation at the beginning. It takes you from a beginner’s stage to a more detailed understanding so it is perfect for new students. Another book, Netter’s anatomy, has amazing illustrations without much explanation but you can get an idea of how everything fits together. Anatomy is a huge subject and was for me the most difficult, so you wont be expected to know it in depth before you apply. Here’s a tip if you want to (possibly) impress your med school selectors.
