What is a good age fo a child to start playing piano?

Any age is best for a child to learn how to play an instrument. I started playing the piano when i was 8, but my brother started when he was 10. It just depends the commitment of the parents and the child. Also a music teacher who teaches for a student at a tender age.

I think 6 is a good age for a child to learn to play the piano.

any age is good, however, if the kid really wants to be good, they would start at 6 or 7. i started playing my cello at age 5. a child at a younger age is more likely to absorb more information. like my friend, caroline* who started playing the cello wen she was a 7th grader. she is good, and has this incredible passion to learn to play, so she practices extra hard, but yet i still am better then her, just because i started at a younger age. it’s like a second language. the younger you start, the more information you are likely to absorb and keep forever. i would say 5, 6 or 7.
