What is a Geriatric Doctor (also called Geriatrician)?
A geriatrician is a medical doctor trained to understand the unique and oftentimes complex health concerns of older adults. The aged body is at greater risk for a wide range of illnesses, and is affected by illness differently than younger adults. Geriatricians are able to recognize and manage these complicated medical situations and develop care plans that address these special health care needs of older adults.
