A Galaxy server is exactly what you’d call an EQ server. So you start at the planetary level, which is nothing more than a superficial top level, then you go down to the continents, which are massive 8 by 8 kilometer play fields. Think of these as massive levels. These aren’t being thrown together, either. the developers have a really formal blueprint process for everything. They are trying to make this not just one big massive level, but tons of miniature skirmish areas. Every continent will be divided into multiple regions which can be fought over and captured and micro-managed. You can access any of these regions at any time without any loads. Each of the 8KM continents are completely seamless, so there are no zones. The continents themselves are separate, but you’ll go back to your headquarters and take a shuttle to the next continent.
