What is a folder?
Folders are special files that can hold multiple documents. They allow you to organize information. Folders can hold both files and other folders (subfolders). For example, you could put all of your letters to Aunt Mary in a folder with her name on it; or you could put the Aunt Mary folder into the General Correspondence folder, that holds many other files and folders. Like a folder on your computer, a folder is an area where you post similar items. To view your folders, sign in, click on the “Me” tab and click on “My Folders”. You can view your folders here as well as make new ones by clicking the “New Folder” button. When you create a folder you name it and decide whether it is public or private. You can invite others to contribute items to the folder, whether it’s public or private, or keep it as yours alone. Use folders to organize events, lists, themes, or anything else you want. To post something to a folder, say a photo, go to the top of your “Me” tab, click the “Photo” link (or use the browser tools), choose a photo, then click the “More options” link in the lower left and pick the folder you want to post the photo to. You will be able to see whether the folder is public or private.
