What is a focus group?
A focus group is a selected set of people used to test and evaluate a product or concept. Focus groups are most commonly 6 to 12 people made up of a statistically proportionate representation of a consumer market, that a company is particularly targeting in order to sell its product or service. On average most focus groups last between 1-2 hours and are held in very comfortable facilities at a market research firm. Occasionally focus groups may actually also be held online.
