What is a Fitted, All-in-one and pocket nappy?
Fitted – a shaped nappy made from cotton, hemp or bamboo. or a mix. All these nappies are very absorbent with bamboo being the most absorbent. Most close with snaps or hook and loop tape (velcro or aplix). These nappies require a waterproof cover. All-in-one (AIO) – These nappies do not require a cover and the absorbent part is included in the nappy. The outer layer is either made from PUL, fleece or minkee. They close with snaps or hook and loop tape (velcro or aplix). All-in-twos (AI2) – Almost an AIO although the absorbent part snaps in or attaches to nappy. Pocket – The outer layer is waterproof ie PUL or Fleece. There is an opening for stuffing the nappy with absorbent inserts ie microfibre and bamboo foldups.
