What Is A Fire Escape System?
Basically, it is a fire exit that has been integrated to the building. They were designed in such a way that people could evacuate quickly and without obstacles from buildings in fire. Their existence was remote to the 20th century when people of the industrialized nations started to live inside buildings. In those days, buildings used external metal ladders for escaping from disasters. But as buildings grew in height, common fire escape ladder mechanics became inadequate. Because of this, internal escape ladders were created for tall buildings while window fire escape ladders remained for the lower ones.
